Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Architecture Lead to join the National Team - Engineering (NTE) team. The candidate will provide technical and programmatic leadership support across the MBSE domain as it relates to the Missile Defense System Architecture Model . This position location is Huntsville , AL.
Position Overview
The ideal candidates will demonstrate extensive experience in Systems Engineering as well as possess well defined leadership skills.
Technical lead in the of Requirements and Interface team on the Nation Team : Provide technical leadership and support of contracted efforts across the MDA System Engineering community.
Develop , implement and monitor rigorous System Engineering processes and process improvements plans to execute horizontal and vertical integration of technical content, products, plans, and schedules within the National Team
Ensure engineering synchronization and cross-flow of analysis.
Ensure the integrity of the Missile Defense System Architecture Model , review, approve and control all changes made to the model.
Develop and execute training of National Team personnel in the development and use of architecture models.
Ensure that the team uses an architecture first approach to the development of new system capabilities, related models and requirements.
Basic Qualifications :
14 Years ’ experience with a Bachelors in Science ; 12 Years ’ experience with a Masters ; 9 Years ’ experience with a Ph D.
10+ years demonstrated success in mentoring and team development.
Missile defense experience leading teams in a MBSE approach to architecture modeling and requirements development
Experience in development of U.S. Air and Missile Defense systems (e.g., IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, GMD, etc.)
Experience in Digital Transformation and related tools, specifically DOORS and CAMEO
20+ of experience with Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or related STEM topic; 18+ Years with a Masters ’; 15+ Years with a Ph D
Current / Active Secret Clearance required to start.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Ph D in STEM field
Top Secret Clearance
Experience as MDA/SDA employee, military member, FFRDS/UARC/ National Lab employee or SETA. Demonstrate customer intimacy.
OMG Certified Profession Certification
Salary Range : $162,500 USD - $243,700 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives .
